What is Part 107?
Part 107 is the FAA regulation that governs commercial drone operations in the US. Anyone flying a drone commercially — photography, real estate, inspections, delivery — must hold a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. You get it by passing the FAA Aeronautical Knowledge Test.
How long does it take to study?
Most pilots are ready in 2–3 weeks of focused study (1–2 hours per day). People with aviation background often pass in under a week. We'll tell you when your practice scores suggest you're ready.
What's the actual pass rate for the Part 107 exam?
The FAA doesn't publish exact numbers, but industry estimates put the first-attempt pass rate around 70–75% for people who self-study. Our users pass at 87% on first attempt — because adaptive practice is meaningfully better than reading a textbook.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
If you complete the full Drone Pass study program (finish the diagnostic, complete 3+ full mock exams, study for at least 10 hours) and still fail your Part 107 exam, we'll refund your purchase in full. Email us your FAA test result and we'll process it within 48 hours.
What's the difference between Basic and Pro?
Basic covers all 5 exam domains with 300+ questions and is enough for most people. Pro adds the sectional chart trainer (where many pilots lose points), an extended 500+ question bank, and full timed mock exams. If you want the most thorough prep, go Pro.
Is access really lifetime?
Yes. One payment, forever. Part 107 certificates require renewal every 24 months — you can use Drone Pass to prep for your recurrent exam too.
